Earthquake in Pakistan

// October 9th, 2005 // All

The numbers being reported dead in the quake that hit Pakistan just seem impossible to comprehend. Watching GEO clips, the scale of human suffering is just numbing to watch.
Shaukat insists on BBC however that its a ‘tragedy for those effected’ – he certainly did’nt seem too overtly concerned.

For those considering giving – EDHI in the UK is accepting donations; I am told firm commitments already stood at 30,000 and counting as of this morning. They are in particular need of resources to supply coffins and to bury the victims.

    Salaam,

    The event is just devastating. There are a few family friends who we have been trying to contact, but alhamdullilah, we found out that they were okay. My organization at college will be collecting as many donations as we can to help out. My cousin in Pakistan also suggested Edhi international. I was watching GEO too, but it got to the point where I couldn’t bear it anymore.

    You have a really nice space. I love the pictures. I am also a big fan of Qawalli and poetry. Feel free to stop by my space anytime.

    Take care. Allah hafiz
