The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that: Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right; greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms, greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge — has marked the upward surge of mankind ..

Yes, indeed - the great OB was down again over the past week. Both of the outages (and the loss of the posts) was due to a shaky host. I’ve learnt my lesson, and moved to a more reliable (and more expensive!) host, this should, I hope, mean that no man shall be deprived, even for the most infintestimal of moments, of the pleasure of reading our potent narratives on humanity.
Rejoice!

Its not just you - the OB is in for much needed servicing, so you might see funny stuff (giant floating tag clouds, electric toothbrushes et al) creeping around the place.
Don’t be alarmed, its probably not your fault.
UPDATE: There is a problem with the sydicated feeds - with only the comments feed currently working
sorted! - should work fine now

Found this intriguing picture of a rather regal looking paanwala in Lahore; a comment below the original picture says:
oh, and this paanwala is a classic! He plays loud qawallis and throws rose petals on his customers.
Now this sounds like my kind of joint! Almost as an aside, i feel almost obligated to share with you the very funny relationship most paanwalas have with their regular customers; you might not know, for example, that amongst this creed its considered bad practise to hand dripping carcinogenic time bombs (the paans that is) into the hands of customers, rather, these must be placed directly into an often already scarlet, saliva filled mouth. Its a sight - a middle aged man, still astride his motorbike being given his quickie fix, a quick exchange of red stained rupee notes, a screeching departure.. and perhaps eventually a not too dissimilar visit to a paanwala further down.
I’ve completely blown the romance, havent i? Next time, i might tell you about the champi wallas…
